This is one of the major highlights of my Fall semester. Thank you to everyone that poured into them during our time in Phoenix. They are all now open to the possibility of going to graduate school. Another was so excited to see more of we do and what is possible. Another student was so grateful that they were seen and someone was willing to help them have a seat at the table. One student mentioned how he loves the way I teach and he has been connecting with his peers more since taking my classes. The reason why this is so significant is all these students normally do not participate in anything outside of class and it was an opportunity to attend their first conference. I nominated them for the Minority Issues Forum Workshop to learn more Operation Research and Management Science. I had the honor and privilege to take three amazing undergraduate students with me.
This past days have been amazing attending one of my professional conferences.
